Soo.. the first post :)

Hi. Writing to nobody. Kind of awkward, right? Oh well..

First things first: I'm in no way a "beauty guru". I'm just a 28-year-old Belgian girl who likes make-up. I also like cheap. But then again, I also like quality. So I figured I'd start up a blog to keep track of my yays and nays when it comes to drugstore make-up.

I'm also no beauty specialist. Not by a long shot. I can just about manage eyeliner on my hooded eyes, and don't use foundation or anything like that. Literally the only makeup I use is eyeliner, mascara, occasionally some eyeshadow, and lip products. I may or may not be addicted to lip glosses. And mascaras. Myeah.

To give you an idea, this is the most perfect eyeliner I've ever been able to do:
Eyeliner: Essence Cosmetics liquid ink eyeliner waterproof (★★★★•)
Mascara: NYC big bold volume by the lash mascara (★★•••)

Review of the eyeliner: Essence is my favourite drugstore brand, so, there's that. This eyeliner is really (REALLY) easy to apply, it's pitch black and dries matte. It takes a while to dry, though, but once it does, it does. Not. Budge. It's there to stay! I've worked a kitchen while wearing it, and it didn't move a nanometer. It's awesome, I definitely recommend it!

Review of the mascara: I own two NYC mascaras and both kind of let me down.. this one clumps a lot (as you can see in the bottom photo above), though I suppose it could be worse. The packaging is really ugly, but this one lives in my "not that often used" mascara drawer (it's only a small drawer, don't get the illusion that I have a million mascaras. I wish I did.) so I don't have to see it that often.
